PERACS is a leading provider of quantitative and fundamental analytics for the private equity industry. Founded in 2006, by Professor Oliver Gottschalg, a well-known and followed professor at HEC Paris and Academic Dean of the top ranked TRIUM Global Executive MBA Program. He is widely published in financial media and has spent the last 20 years primarily focused on private equity. He has helped over 100 GPs and dozens of LPs understand investment decisions and data about private equity including 22 of the 100 largest PE firms in the world.

PERACS helps investors identify the value drivers behind private equity investments to make better investment decisions. Their metrics provide objective answers to identify and quantify:

– Value-add drivers and alpha

– Peer group comparisons and analysis

– Manager screening and sourcing

– Risk assessment

– Return characteristics: (cyclicality, correlation, proprietary sourcing, timing of investments, strategy drift)

For GPs, PERACS’ helps managers analyze their value-add and differentiation to improve the efficiency, communication and impact during fundraising and fund due diligence processes and helps to free up costly time for investor relations and due diligence teams.

For LPs, PERACS’ helps institutional investors by providing detailed insights into the key aspects of private equity investment performance and risk.

Alpine will be helping PERACS engage new clients amongst GPs and LPs and will be hosting events and workshops periodically to better inform investors on PERACS’ latest work using their traditional and quantitative tools.
